Survival Probabilities and Gross Returns
In Ferry Locks, you choose one of four exit locks before starting. Each lock has independent survival chances: 80 percent for exit one, 75 percent for exit two, two-thirds for exit three, and 50 percent for exit four. Reaching your chosen exit yields a gross return that includes your original stake. The multipliers are 1.2 times for exit one, 1.6 times for exit two, 2.4 times for exit three, and 4.8 times for exit four. Failure results in zero return, and you cannot exit manually once the round begins.
Stake Deduction and Settlement Math
Your stake is deducted once at the start of the round and persists before any animation begins. Payouts are computed in hundredths, then the floor of whole coins is credited to your wallet. Any fractional remainder, ranging from zero to ninety-nine hundredths, is saved as a separate carry value. This carry is added to future credits but does not affect the immediate gross return calculation. Automatic settlement occurs at your chosen exit or the end of the reveal sequence.
Wallet Behavior and Reload Mechanics
The demo uses virtual coins with no cash value. Your initial balance starts at one thousand coins. If your balance drops below ten coins while idle, you can manually refill to restore the balance to one thousand coins. Reloading the page discards any unfinished round without refund or resumption. Controls for stake selection and starting are disabled while a round is active. The four exit options are preselected before the round begins.
Frequently asked questions
How is the gross return calculated in Ferry Locks?
The gross return includes your original stake and is determined by the multiplier of your chosen exit. For example, exit one pays 1.2 times the stake, while exit four pays 4.8 times the stake.
What happens to fractional coin values after a payout?
Payouts are calculated in hundredths. The system credits the floor of whole coins to your wallet and saves the fractional remainder separately. This remainder is preserved and added to future credits but is not immediately disbursed.
